The role
An experienced network engineer supports a complex, highly available network environment within a public sector organisation, with responsibilities spanning operational support and project delivery. The role involves managing various network technologies including Cisco ACI, Nexus, Catalyst switches, ASA, Firepower, Check Point firewalls, and wireless infrastructure. The engineer should hold Cisco CCNP certification or equivalent and possess at least three years' relevant experience. Technical skills required include Cisco and Check Point firewalls, routing protocols, VLANs, VPNs, VoIP, and cloud connectivity, among others. They must demonstrate strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills to resolve issues effectively within a diverse environment. Training is available to address specific skills gaps, and the position involves working across multiple sites within the regional estate.
