The role
A DevOps Engineer is responsible for developing and managing infrastructure as code pipelines to support research applications on private cloud platforms. The role involves deploying applications using Kubernetes and Virtual Machines, and liaising with end-users to gather technical requirements. Candidates should have experience with deploying applications on Kubernetes, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and developing infrastructure as code, particularly with Terraform. Knowledge of public and private cloud environments and experience within higher education settings are desirable. The position is based in Cardiff, with hybrid work arrangements, on a 4-month contract specified as inside IR35, offering a daily rate of £655. The engineer must ensure efficient resource utilisation and meet technical deployment needs.
