The role
Two musicians are sought to co-lead weekly inclusive music sessions for children aged 5 to 11 at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music in Gateshead. The role involves contributing to programme planning, delivering engaging activities, and supporting diverse musical experiences for young learners. Successful candidates will have professional-level playing or singing skills, experience working with children, and a passion for inclusive music education. Knowledge of teaching methods such as Kodaly and Dalcroze, along with a keen understanding of the primary school music curriculum, are desirable. The role requires excellent communication, adaptability, and an inclusive approach to working with children from diverse backgrounds. The sessions are part of a broader family and community engagement programme aimed at developing confidence and a love of music.
