The role
Provide strategic legal counsel across the lifecycle of AI research artifacts, including data curation, model training, release planning, and post-release governance.
Offer direct counseling for applications, demos, scientific agents, and conservation tools, covering diligence and data governance.
Review licenses and documentation for data, open-source software, and related terms.
Develop and improve frameworks for responsible AI development and streamlined release processes.
Deliver practical legal guidance balancing mission, compliance, and evolving AI policy; support charitable and educational activities.
Collaborate with researchers and engineers, coach teams, and translate complex issues for non-legal stakeholders.
