The role
Review project plans, specifications, and scope documents for natural gas pipelines, compressor stations, meter stations, class changes, pipe replacements, and hydrotesting.
Develop comprehensive cost estimates covering materials, labor, equipment, subcontractor bids, permits, and contingency costs using Excel-based templates.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, project management, field teams, and vendors to verify quantities and assumptions.
Participate in estimate review meetings and respond promptly to business development or project management inquiries.
Maintain detailed documentation of estimating data, assumptions, and revisions for audits and future use.
Stay current on industry trends, material costs, labor rates, and regulatory changes impacting natural gas infrastructure projects.
