The role
The Assistant Editor supports the post production team through all phases of editorial and finishing for vertical drama series.
Ingests, syncs, and organizes media while maintaining project file structures and metadata.
Preps sequences for editorial, color, sound, and VFX, performs assembly edits, and applies basic color and audio adjustments.
Serves as Finishing Assistant Editor for final conform, QC, delivery prep, and platform-ready masters with LUTs and embedded subtitles.
Collaborates with post sound and color teams to ensure accurate handoffs and version tracking; maintains archives and backups.
Leverages AI tools for transcription, captioning, smart sync, and workflow automation, staying current with vertical storytelling trends.
