The role
A shuttering carpenter constructs and installs formwork used to shape concrete structures in industrial and commercial settings. They interpret blueprints, measure, cut, and assemble formwork materials, and dismantle structures safely after concrete has set. Candidates should possess skills in using carpentry tools, welding, and reading technical drawings, with physical stamina for demanding tasks. Knowledge of heavy lifting and vehicle operation is advantageous. The role requires awareness of safety standards and collaborative working with various trades. This is a hands-on position requiring precision, safety awareness, and mechanical aptitude in a construction environment.
