The role

A support worker is required in Derby to assist a bright and happy 11-year-old boy with cerebral palsy in his fully adapted home. The role involves personal care, such as feeding, bathing, and toileting, as well as helping with daily therapy exercises, play, and learning activities. The position offers flexible shifts including weekday afternoons, evenings, weekends, and some nights, with additional training provided by specialists and therapists. The candidate must be reliable, team-oriented, and able to drive an adapted vehicle, with prior experience in complex care preferred. It is a temporary role covering maternity leave, with a possibility for permanent part-time employment.
