The role
Review drawings, specs, and bid documents to generate accurate cost estimates across all trades.
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and define clear scopes of work for each discipline.
Solicit, vet, and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and reliable coverage.
Prepare conceptual budgets and formal bids, and present proposals to clients for approval.
Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving and value-engineering opportunities.
Visit sites as needed to verify conditions, monitor market rates, and mentor junior estimators.
