The role
The role involves providing legal advice across corporate governance, contracts, data privacy, and employment issues, acting as the first contact for legal queries within a technology-focused organisation. The successful candidate will draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including SaaS and licensing agreements, with a focus on high-value and complex deals. They will lead the development of a contractual playbook, oversee the Contract Lifecycle Management system, and utilise AI tools to automate legal processes where appropriate. The position requires staying vigilant to legal changes, managing external legal counsel, and supporting internal departments to align legal strategies with business objectives. It is ideally suited for a UK-qualified lawyer with in-house experience in technology or SaaS, strong risk management skills, and a keen interest in legal tech and AI automation.
