Local Democracy Reporter – Norwich

The role involves reporting on local councils, MPs and public bodies, attending meetings and developing impactful stories relevant to readers. The reporter will monitor agendas, meetings and public documents to identify emerging issues and build contacts within the community. Responsibilities include producing accurate, timely copy for distribution through multiple channels and representing the organisation professionally. The position requires attending meetings both virtually and in person, travelling across the Norfolk area, and engaging with the community. Essential skills include understanding of local government, ability to find original stories, and strong digital skills. A full driving licence is required to facilitate travel across the patch.
