The role
Lead the design and optimization of search and discovery systems, identifying bottlenecks and quantifying defects.
Propose and implement state-of-the-art solutions spanning ML, DL, and large language models to improve query, product, and user understanding.
Translate research into production through end-to-end implementation and rigorous AB testing.
Serve as a thought leader, driving consensus and aligning stakeholders on technical direction.
Example domains include conversion prediction with personalization, two-tower embeddings with ANN retrieval, BERT-based retrieval and NER, neural relevance models, and graph-based relationship discovery.
Requires hands-on expertise in information retrieval, recommendation systems, ML/DL/NLP, and scalable distributed systems.
