The role
A legal counsel specialising in commercial law will develop relationships with client-facing teams, oversee and negotiate contractual agreements, and liaise with internal legal departments on key matters. They will review and craft contracts such as master service and partner agreements, providing legal advice to project teams and stakeholders. The role involves guiding various departments on legal queries, delivering contracting training, and managing supplier contracts including SaaS and professional services. Candidates should possess at least five years of PQE, experience in commercial contracts within professional services or technology sectors, and an understanding of UK GDPR and legal risk management.
