The role
A Backend Developer is sought in Warwickshire to design, develop, and optimise scalable server-side applications using Java Spring Boot and microservices architecture. They will build secure RESTful APIs to facilitate front-end integration and work on relational database optimisation with MySQL and PostgreSQL. The role involves resolving performance issues and improving system scalability, reliability, and security, including OAuth2 and JWT authentication. Candidates should apply best practices in code quality, testing with JUnit and Mockito, and continuous integration/delivery pipelines. Collaboration across cross-functional teams and familiarity with DevOps tools like Docker and Jenkins, as well as cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP, are essential. The role offers hybrid working arrangements, with 2-3 days onsite, and a competitive salary from GBP 36,000 to 60,000 per year.
