The role
Lead the design and development of edge AI and multimedia firmware for on-device video systems (camera, encoding, and processing).
Define scalable embedded software architecture and drive cross-functional roadmaps across ML, hardware, cloud, and product teams.
Ensure AI models run within device constraints with rigorous testing, validation, and performance monitoring on edge devices.
Own and maintain production systems, provide operational support, and contribute to tooling, release infrastructure, and CI/CD.
Collaborate with hardware partners to define next-generation devices and optimize edge inference pipelines for reliability and scalability.
Mentor engineers, foster a growth mindset and customer-focused culture, and work remotely from Canada with strong communication skills.
