The role
We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design and optimize core backend systems powering product data access, analytics, and reporting across diverse data sources.
Build and maintain a source-agnostic data storage layer delivering fast, reliable data to end users.
Develop and support API-first services and both internal and public APIs for core data entities, ensuring a well-documented, secure, scalable codebase.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable flexible insights from ratings, reviews, and other data sources via customizable reporting.
Requirements include 5+ years backend development, 3+ years with Python asyncio, FastAPI, strong SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and SQLAlchemy, NoSQL (MongoDB), RabbitMQ or Kafka, and Pytest.
Nice-to-have items include AWS, API-first design, and experience with large-scale migrations or legacy code refactoring.
