The role
This full-time, non-tenure-track lecturer position focuses on teaching introductory corporate finance to undergraduate business students, primarily sophomores, with an emphasis on clear communication and practical applications.
Responsibilities include developing and updating course materials to ensure rigor and relevance, using active learning and technology-enhanced methods, and coordinating with colleagues across sections.
The role also entails holding regular office hours, providing academic advising on course selection and progression in the finance curriculum, and fostering student engagement.
A major component is contributing to student professional development by organizing networking events, career workshops, and initiatives that connect classroom learning with finance careers.
The position involves department and school service, collaboration with Career Services and Alumni Relations, and participation in curriculum and student-success discussions.
This nine-month appointment carries an initial three-year renewable term, with a strong emphasis on teaching excellence, student-centered mentoring, and ongoing professional growth.
