The role
A Senior Python software engineer with a strong mathematics background is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust Python modules applying advanced optimisation techniques. They implement algorithms for econometric and statistical modelling, tackling large-scale data processing and real-world forecasting challenges. The role involves ensuring high code quality, applying design principles, and collaborating with international teams using modern technologies like SciPy, Pandas, SQL, Docker, and Kubernetes. They will take ownership of modules, contribute to platform improvements, and review code to promote best practices. Candidates should have at least five years' experience in Python with scientific libraries and a master's degree in a quantitative field, with valued experience in marketing mix modelling and cloud platforms.
