The role
Own the complete monthly close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting for multiple subsidiary entities.
Prepare complex journals, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany activity to maintain GL integrity.
Provide financial control of overheads and support input from purchase, sales, and subcontract ledgers to maintain data quality.
Assist in VAT and CIS compliance, technical accounting adjustments, and statutory reporting in line with HMRC requirements.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting with clear financial insights for operations and department managers.
Collaborate on process improvements and system enhancements (GL automation, Microsoft Dynamics, Jet Reports) and mentor junior staff.
