The role
The Corporate Counsel will serve as a senior in-house lawyer focusing on real estate transactions, reporting to the General Counsel and collaborating with the CEO and executive leadership.
The role covers the full real estate lifecycle, including acquisitions, development, financing, and portfolio management.
Key responsibilities include drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, managing due diligence, and overseeing compliance and outside counsel.
You will handle construction and permanent financing, joint ventures, and investor transactions.
You will negotiate operational and other real estate related agreements and provide strategic legal advice on risk and governance.
This is a hybrid position in downtown Chicago with four days in the office and a competitive base salary plus discretionary bonus.
