The role
A leading AI startup in Edinburgh is seeking an experienced Principal Python Developer to contribute to their innovative AI platform used globally by enterprises. The role involves developing backend services and APIs primarily with Python, alongside collaborating on infrastructure, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines for secure, scalable deployments. The candidate will work closely with founders, designers, and engineers to implement impactful product features across the technology stack. Applicants should have over five years of professional software engineering experience with proficiency in Python backend development, relational or NoSQL databases, and cloud infrastructure including Docker and Kubernetes. They should be problem-solvers with a passion for creating outstanding products and able to thrive in a dynamic, high-performance environment.
