The role
The Chemical Engineer is responsible for providing technical support for plant modifications and process improvements, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. They monitor and report on KPI and utility performance, collaborating with production and engineering teams to enhance plant reliability and efficiency. The role includes leading investigations into incidents and safety concerns, and supporting management of change procedures. Candidates should have a degree in chemical engineering or a related field, with at least five years' experience in chemical manufacturing and knowledge of COMAH regulations. Strong communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills are essential, while Chartered Engineer status is preferred.
