The role
The Head of Music is responsible for leading the Music department at a highly regarded secondary school in London, overseeing curriculum development and implementation across all key stages. They will inspire and mentor staff, manage resources effectively, and nurture extracurricular programmes including performances and workshops. The role requires a qualified teacher with extensive experience teaching music at KS3, KS4, and KS5 levels, and proven leadership skills. Candidates should possess a music-related degree, QTS or equivalent, and a strong understanding of current music education practices. Exceptional communication skills and a passion for fostering a love of music in students are essential for success in this position.
