The role
Lead the end-to-end data science lifecycle for high-stakes defence projects, from scoping to deployment and impact assessment.
Design bespoke algorithms and scalable software architectures with rigorous code quality for reliable decision-making.
Translate complex business problems into mathematical frameworks and collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams.
Apply core data science techniques (supervised/unsupervised learning, time-series, NLP) using Python, NumPy and Pandas, with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Provide technical leadership, set engineering standards, and contribute to thought leadership through teaching or open-source work.
Hybrid working with two days in the London office and remote work elsewhere in the UK; eligibility for UK Security Clearance and occasional travel to client sites.
