The role
A senior civil engineer will lead infrastructure design for renewable and transmission projects across the UK, managing multi-disciplinary teams and overseeing the full project cycle from feasibility to construction supervision. Responsibilities include liaising with clients, preparing technical calculations, reviewing drawings, and ensuring compliance with UK standards such as Eurocodes and BS EN codes. The role requires conducting site inspections, producing technical reports, and providing technical guidance to junior staff. A high level of technical proficiency in civil or structural design, along with organisational and report-writing skills, is essential. Familiarity with National Grid specifications and chartership status are advantageous for candidates.
