The role
A Senior Carer is responsible for supporting clients with daily living activities, administering medication following policies, and supervising junior staff members. They assist clients with physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, ensuring comfort and dignity are maintained at all times. The role involves closely monitoring clients with behavioural problems or limited mobility, assisting with care planning, and coordinating social activities. Senior Carers respond promptly to call systems, maintain accurate documentation, and uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety within the care environment. They ensure clients’ privacy and dignity are respected, especially in end-of-life care, and support clients' participation in hobbies and outings. The position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate attitude, working collaboratively with healthcare professionals and family members.
