The role
The journalist will present live and on-location news content tailored for young audiences, sourcing and scripting engaging stories for broadcast. Their duties include creating innovative youth-oriented news programming across digital and traditional media, leading original journalism projects, and editing content using Premiere Pro and Quantel. They should possess strong presentation skills and rapport with children, with experience in multi-platform youth content delivery. Knowledge of audience preferences and how young viewers access news is essential. The role requires the ability to craft and communicate news stories clearly and accessibly across TV and social media channels. This position involves contributing to the BBC's trusted news environment for children, supporting its mission to inform, entertain, and empower.
