The role
Lead the adherence to GAAP and STAT accounting standards for P&C reinsurance, ensuring accurate policy development and implementation.
Evaluate proposed transactions for accounting implications, prepare documentation, and communicate complex positions to senior management.
Assess the impact of new accounting standards and drive cross-functional implementation across affected areas.
Draft and respond to external accounting committees' inquiries, and contribute to comment letters on proposed standards.
Document accounting and business requirements affecting systems and processes, and manage related risk and controls.
Lead or coordinate cross-functional teams, mentor others, and ensure timely financial reporting and compliance.
