The role
The position involves teaching Kodaly techniques to primary school pupils, developing their music skills and promoting ensemble playing. Applicants should have musical qualifications and experience in teaching, with good communication skills essential. The role requires independence and a driving licence with access to a car, as the post is mainly located in Caithness amidst scenic landscapes. The tutor will create engaging lesson materials, maintain accurate records, and support curriculum development while participating in professional development activities. The job entails working 35 hours per week, primarily during the school year, with a 23-month initial contract funded by Youth Music Initiative.
