The role
A Private Cloud Engineer at ARM is responsible for designing, building, and operating a multi-tenant private cloud platform based on OpenStack, ensuring scalability and reliability for engineering workloads. The role involves developing infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform and Ansible, creating APIs and automation in Python, and improving system performance and stability. The engineer will lead incident response and collaborate across compute, networking, and storage layers, while mentoring other engineers and setting technical standards. Strong hands-on experience with OpenStack projects, Linux internals, and programming in Python and C is required. The position offers the opportunity to work on modern internal platforms and to further develop skills in cloud, software, and platform engineering.
