Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI models to augment and automate operational workflows in financial crime mitigation, including auto-generation of case comments, red flags, final summaries, and data labeling. Build production-ready Python services and own end-to-end deployment, balancing speed with code quality to deliver value quickly. Design human-in-the-loop architectures to ensure AI provides recommendations while human operators retain final decision-making authority. Establish rigorous testing and governance frameworks (shadow mode, A/B testing) and collaborate with Compliance to meet regulatory standards. Analyze upstream data to craft proactive strategies that deflect financial crime attempts before they reach operations, reducing manual workload. Lead and mentor junior data scientists, fostering a product-focused mindset and guiding architectural decisions.
