The role
A PostgreSQL Database Administrator is required to manage and optimise PostgreSQL databases for a high-profile end customer in Aberdeen. The role involves schema design, query performance tuning, implementing access controls, encryption, and audit procedures. Candidates should have experience with AWS-hosted PostgreSQL instances, automated backups, disaster recovery, and monitoring tools. The position demands active security clearance (SC) and requires at least three years of relevant experience. The role is remote for UK-based candidates, with a contract duration of 12 months at market rates within the inside IR35 framework.
