The role
A Deputy Operations Manager supports the delivery of terminal operations at the Port of Liverpool by assisting the Site Leadership Team and supporting safety, performance, and asset management. They coordinate vessel scheduling, berth planning, and customer service whilst ensuring compliance with standards such as health and safety and environmental policies. The role involves managing operational activities, supporting technology enhancements, and developing colleagues to foster a collaborative work environment. Relevant skills include experience leading teams in complex settings, supporting change initiatives, and using operational data to improve performance. Knowledge of maritime operations, health and safety certifications, and equipment management are advantages in this role.
