The role
The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new apprenticeship business, building employer relationships, and aligning training solutions with workforce needs. This role involves engaging with senior decision makers across HR, L&D, Talent, Operations, and Finance to promote apprenticeship offerings. The candidate will manage a sales pipeline from prospecting to closing, conducting consultative discussions on workforce planning, levy utilisation, and talent development. Collaboration with internal teams ensures employer proposals are realistic and compelling, while representing the organisation at industry events. Strong CRM management and activity tracking are essential to drive sales performance. The role requires a proactive, professional individual with a proven track record in apprenticeship sales and stakeholder engagement, capable of building trust and closing deals effectively.
