The role
Lead and maintain secure, multi-user computing environments across Windows Server, Linux, and Active Directory to support dynamic training and mission readiness.
Monitor data communications, manage activation/deactivation for scheduled events, and provide first- and second-level troubleshooting and incident response.
Configure and support video conferencing, hardware peripherals, backups, recovery procedures, and system performance tuning while documenting issues and solutions.
Evaluate vendor products, coordinate installations, and develop SOPs; collaborate with IT teams and the cybersecurity group on patching, hardening, and procurement decisions.
Serve as a Systems Administrator in a hybrid Windows/Linux environment with DoD qualifications, including TS clearance with SCI eligibility, DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II+ certification, and U.S. citizenship.
Be prepared for shift work, physical lifting (up to 50 pounds), and ongoing improvement of system reliability through automation scripting (Batch, PowerShell, Bash, Python) and routine backups.
