The role
A construction quantity surveyor in Leeds is responsible for preparing reports, managing cost reconciliation, issuing enquiries, and overseeing subcontractor payments. They support project estimations, manage variations, and ensure contract compliance across diverse construction schemes including refurbishment and new build projects. Key skills include experience with JCT, NEC, or bespoke contracts, as well as working with mechanical, electrical, and ventilation systems. They should have strong IT, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, along with a degree in quantity surveying and industry experience. The role requires managing multiple projects and collaborating with onsite and office teams to maintain standards and project efficiency. A full UK driving licence is also necessary to fulfil the duties effectively.
