The role
The role involves supporting psychological assessments, therapeutic interventions, and care plans for children and young people with complex mental health needs in Walsall. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, families, and external professionals to deliver evidence-based therapies such as Talking Therapies, EMDR, and Narrative Therapy. They will conduct risk assessments, develop psychologically informed care strategies, and provide clinical supervision and training to colleagues. The position requires proficient assessment, formulation, and diagnosis skills, along with knowledge of trauma-informed practices and safeguarding. The successful applicant must hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and HCPC registration, with experience in mental health and behavioural difficulties among youth populations. Flexibility to travel across services within the West Midlands is essential to support effective service delivery.
