The role
A housekeeper at the hotel is responsible for maintaining cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring high standards of hygiene and presentation. The role involves tasks such as changing linens, restocking supplies, vacuuming, and dusting, with a focus on attention to detail and guest satisfaction. The position requires physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work independently or as part of a team. Basic proficiency in English, flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is necessary, along with a friendly demeanour. Prior experience in housekeeping or customer service is preferred but not mandatory, with knowledge of cleaning techniques a plus.
