The role
Decontaminates, cleans, packages, sterilizes, stores, and distributes medical/surgical equipment in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
Fulfills departmental orders, conducts equipment rounds, and returns soiled items to SPD while validating functionality and PM status.
Maintains inventory, restocks supplies, and prepares specialty carts and isolation crash carts per policy.
Disassembles, cleans, and decontaminates instruments per manufacturer recommendations, including ultrasonic cleaning.
Assembles, inspects, tests, wraps, and dates all OR and specialty sets; operates sterilizers, endoscope processors, and related equipment.
Uses tracking systems for documentation, ensures sterile packaging integrity, prepares OR carts, and delivers high-quality customer service in a collaborative environment.
