The role
The Lead DevOps Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance within the Platform Engineering group during a digital transformation. They will manage a team of DevOps engineers and lead cross-functional teams in implementing CI/CD pipelines, automating deployments to Azure, and supporting various workloads such as Azure ML and Elastic. The role requires designing technical solutions based on user needs, mentoring team members, and ensuring best practices in security and governance. The engineer will collaborate on strategic planning and share expertise across the DevOps community to enhance capabilities. They are expected to support process improvements, research emerging principles, and contribute to technology roadmaps. Strong communication, leadership, and technical skills are essential for success in this role.
