The role
Under general supervision, the concrete finisher smooths and finishes surfaces of poured concrete to specified textures and depths.
Sets up forms, positions delivery equipment, and directs concrete placement to ensure proper flow and consolidation.
Levels and finishes concrete using screed, floats, and trowels to achieve the desired texture and depth.
Applies expansion joints, edges, and finishes such as broom textures, color chips, or epoxy patches as required.
Repairs rough spots, patches defects, and fabricates rebar for below-grade and vertical structures while maintaining safety.
Monitors quality, safety, and site cleanliness, including form layout, grading, and equipment operation as needed.
