The role
Lead estimator for large, complex multifamily and commercial projects, owning the estimating process from concept through GMP.
Develop conceptual, schematic, design development, and GMP‑level estimates with clear cost narratives and risk assessment.
Set estimating strategies, scopes, assumptions, and work plans; guide quantity takeoffs, subcontractor bidding, leveling, and scope reconciliation.
Lead day‑to‑day estimating coordination across preconstruction managers, estimators, junior staff, consultants, and trade partners.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance, uphold standards, review estimates, maintain historical cost databases, and drive process improvements.
Present estimates and variance analyses to leadership, support value engineering, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
