The role
A temporary support musician is sought to work within the Douglas community of Dundee for 14 hours weekly, primarily Monday to Thursday, until July 2027. The role involves developing musical understanding through voice, movement, and instruments, utilising methodologies like Kodaly and Orff Shulwerk. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with team members and participate in providing feedback, training, and support in delivering the Big Noise programme. Essential skills include at least Grade 5 standard on the principal instrument or voice, and familiarity with community-based music initiatives. The position offers developmental opportunities in music and community engagement, with a selection process including an interview, audition, and interactive activity with young people. All appointments are subject to PVG checks, and candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
