The role
Lionbridge seeks freelance Spanish-English over-the-phone interpreters for ongoing projects in sectors such as legal, healthcare, and government. Interpreters handle on-demand calls, accurately conveying meanings between speakers of both languages while maintaining professionalism and cultural sensitivity. Calls usually last between 10 and 30 minutes during US business hours. Candidates should possess advanced Spanish and English speaking abilities, excellent memory, note-taking, and communication skills, and pass a language assessment. Experience in interpretation or language services is advantageous but not essential. The role offers flexible scheduling, remote work, and opportunities to develop professional skills in linguistics.
