The role
A DevOps Engineer with expertise in GCP is responsible for managing infrastructure as code using Terraform, developing and maintaining deployment policies, and working with containerisation technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker. They design and implement continuous integration and delivery pipelines, automate testing, and manage artefacts and deployment strategies. The role involves building data pipelines with Kafka, monitoring streaming infrastructure, and ensuring platform security through DevSecOps practices. Additional duties include release governance, change management, and ensuring regional compliance and data residency requirements are met. The candidate should possess skills in policies management, cloud provisioning, container orchestration, and security alongside experience with monitoring, observability, and disaster recovery.
