The role
An estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates by analysing drawings, specifications, and documents for residential and commercial construction projects. The role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure projects are accurately scoped, preparing tender submissions, and maintaining cost databases. Candidates should have experience in construction cost estimation, interpreting technical drawings, and using estimation software such as CostX or Bluebeam. Strong analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills are essential, along with good communication and organisational ability. This position requires a degree in a related field and at least five years of relevant experience, with a focus on modular or traditional construction methods.
