The role
A Python Software Engineer is sought to design and build scalable data, research, and trading systems within a high-pressure financial environment. They will partner with quantitative researchers and portfolio managers to develop robust, efficient Python-based solutions for data ingestion, modelling, and strategy research. Key duties include optimising pipelines for speed and reliability, collaborating on system architecture, and ensuring best practices for distributed and cloud systems. Candidates should have at least four years of professional Python experience, with strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and data frameworks like NumPy and Pandas. Experience in finance or trading systems is advantageous but not essential, with a focus on delivering high-quality, performant code.
