The role
A game developer is responsible for developing and maintaining game software using C++. They build graphical video-based applications for terminal-based gaming machines and collaborate with artists to efficiently integrate visual assets. The role also involves working closely with QA teams to investigate and resolve issues promptly, assisting with technical implementation and game functionality, and contributing to the refinement of development best practices and processes. Candidates should possess commercial experience in C++, familiarity with source control systems such as Git or SVN, and knowledge of DirectX environments. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent qualification is typically required, along with an understanding of software development best practices.
