The role
The Principal Network Engineer role involves leading the design, assurance, and deployment of secure network solutions across enterprise and operational technology environments. The position requires producing high-quality technical documentation and acting as a senior specialist in routing, switching, and security technologies. Collaborating with solution architects and project teams, the engineer will develop resilient, secure network solutions that meet operational and cyber security standards. The role includes mentoring engineers, supporting technical governance, and resolving complex technical challenges in critical infrastructure projects. Candidates should possess extensive experience in enterprise networking and cybersecurity, with key expertise in routing, security platforms, and certification such as CCNP. Flexibility for hybrid working in Warwickshire is expected, with a requirement to attend the office regularly.
