The role
A Senior Electrical Engineer at Fawley specialises in providing electrical engineering advice to optimise safety, reliability, and technical operations within a site environment. The role involves supporting maintenance, technical units, and project activities, including fault diagnosis, safety compliance, and infrastructure improvements, utilising technical knowledge of electrical systems, high voltage switchgear, generators, UPS, and protection systems. The candidate is expected to lead electrical health initiatives, support major shutdowns, and develop competencies within the engineering team. Candidates must hold an electrical engineering degree, be a Chartered Engineer, and have experience within a COMAH environment, particularly in refining or petrochemical sectors. Familiarity with relevant legislation such as the Electricity at Work Regulations, 1989 and DSEAR is required. Skills in troubleshooting electrical equipment, working with safety standards, and supporting project design and safety assessments are essential.
